Student Vote is a program that allows students to experience the democratic process firsthand within the school environment. Students practice the habits of active and informed citizenship through participation in an in-school parallel election that coincides with official elections.
At Iroquois Falls Public School, just one of the many participating DSB1 schools, students learned about the candidates and the election process before casting their votes for the official candidates running in the municipal election.
