December 3 is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, highlighting this year’s theme: “Fostering disability-inclusive societies.” With over one billion people worldwide living with a disability, inclusion matters more than ever.

Created by a student attending R. Ross Beattie Public School, this design will proudly be featured on the cover of our 2025 DSB1 holiday card and widely distributed across our communities during the month of December and beyond.

Introducing "Brain Boosters" for EQAO Prep!

Our Learning and Teaching team launched Brain Boosters, a quick and engaging way to help students strengthen key Language and Math skills while building confidence for EQAO.

These 5-minute questions give students regular practice with important concepts and EQAO-style thinking. Rooted in the Science of Learning, Brain Boosters promote strong routines, problem-solving, and meaningful discussion.

Located on Centennial Street, one block east of Victoria Road, IFPS has 4 wings, including 2 gymnasiums, a lunch room, a library and an up-to-date computer lab. Our school yard includes a basketball court, a baseball diamond, a soccer field and a playground.
